Wyndham Vacation Resorts

I love Wyndham Resorts. Location is great and near many attractions. Rooms are lean and fresh. Pool area is always clean and made safe by spraying away any puddles that may form from cleaning the area. The rooms are large, clean and bright. Each room has the feel of an apartment and includes all the amenities of home. I stay at their resorts across the United States.

We really enjoyed Star Island resort. Our suite was clean and cozy. Celery green and blue decor. Nice balcony with table and chairs. Happy hour at the bar by the pool from 2-4 and another one from 5-7 upstairs in the club house. Good prices during those hrs.. Entertainment/games for the kids and at night for the adults. We enjoyed the free mini golf, and watching the kids play in the jungle gym. Close to eateries, super Wal-Mart and Super Target, plus outlets, and 15 minutes from Disney.

Time share owners get small efficiency no deck or pay or washer dryer our full dining room or second bathroom or bedroom or anything. Disappointing. Fishing one small area, no attendees or love bait and early closings, bar closes at 7 but pool open until 11. Asked for handicapped room and didn't get one. Disappointing amenities, very expensive drinks, automatically applied to room, not cash payable. Deli automatically applied 18% gratuity and very expensive. Grounds not well keep.

refrigerator was spray painted in inside the unit. it smelled like acetone. refrigerator had to be replaced because it was not working . coffee maker replaced in both units. balcony chairs missing had to call to ask for them. The shower head was not working properly, so we call for maintenance. The microwave plate was not turning and it burned the food. maintenance came up and could not fix it the same day. The vents in our suite master bedroom working poorly. we had to close the vents in the living room at night to feel the air in our room. i had less inconvenience in a hotel. i will not be returning to this particular resort.

Overall stay was nice. Rooms are a little dated with a few improvements. Pool area and bar were a plus Along with the snack area and hotdog stand. As usual the annoying push to have you set in a briefing to get updates and then give you the grand prize of a gift card with money on it. Please stop trying to pressure folks into these briefings. We do enough by paying for a time share to come and relax, not to be hassled by staff. Start putting an option on the website during registration to select presentation or no presentation so you won't be irritating folks when they tired from the travel to get to your resort.
