Wyndham San Diego Bayside

We had a wonderful stay at Wyndham Bayside! The staff was incredibly accommodating and kind. Our flight was delayed and the shuttle driver even came back after shuttle hours to pick us up. We appreciated it so much! The rooms were very clean and comfortable, and the location was in walking distance to Seaport Village and the cruise ports! We would definitely recommend this hotel if staying in the area!

So my three stars maybe generous. Hotel location is extremely convenient for downtown & Gaslamp District activities. I would even say I had a decent room. Here's what I would say are my issues. All in the service. I arrived before check-in. No big issue. I asked for a place to put my luggage until I could check-in. Bell personnel never arrived. Even after I made a second inquiry. I had to take my luggage back to my car. I returned and checked into my room. Front desk person didn't inform me that I needed to use my room key to operate the elevator. Not a big deal unless you've been flying from overseas and all you want to do is get to your room. I was there for 5 days. First two days, no issue with hot water. Third day, I was in the shower and out of nowhere, the water became ice cold. Luck

Overall was good, but not perfect. I like the Hotel it seemed clean and the location was close to the harbor. The bed was comfortable the bathroom was nice for me.I had trouble finding the entrance at night it didn't seem super obvious, checking in they had to run my card 6 times even though it said approved she said it didn't go through it took a long time. She said it was who I booked through (Trip.com) their end wasn't working. After checking in I drove up to the gate for the parking lot. To open the gate you're s supposed to use the room key and swipe it over ablue button but at night I didn't see it and I was swiping another screen that kept giving an error message until their was 5 cars behind me and someone got out. And helped. That's my fault but maybe put a light on it. Parking is

The rooms were fine. Typical hotel style room except without a microwave. We had a beautiful view overlooking the bay. The staff were friendly & helpful. Our only issue was waiting to check into our room. One person to check in a line of people is not good service. Several people that just got off the transport bus from the airport had to wait 20 minutes or more.

Stayed one night. Great location and view. Poor service level from front desk and restaurant. Would have been nice if the desk clerk would have told me the parking garage was close to my room, would have saved me from having to pull my luggage through the lobby and out to my remote tower room. No room service or parking assistance here. $ 30.00 per day mandatory additional amenities fee whether you need anything or not. I left a message to let the manager know of issues after my stay but have not heard back after one week so leaving a review for others.
