The Hawthorne Historic Inn

I was a resident of Hawthorne Historic Inn for 2+ years, and thoroughly enjoyed my time there. The furnished rooms had everything I needed, and when I wanted to cook, it was just a short trip down to the communal kitchen. You get used to the airplane noise very quick, like it's just natural, habitual sound. Greg was great, and always quick to respond to any issues, though I did not have many problems while there. Stephen is great, and very understanding. More owners/landlords need to be like him. You will love this place, short-term or long-term. The location is A++++, walkable to everything you need.

Loved this place! Quirky and cute. Saved us from high priced hotels. Right under the flight path, which we thought was a lot of fun. Comfortable bed. Street parking saved us. Safe and affordable. Walked to Balboa and Little Italy.

The Hawthorne Historic Inn is conveniently located close to downtown San Diego and the San Diego airport. The Inn is an imposing building with fabulous views and a wonderful garden. The rooms have been updated, comfortable, and clean. I highly recommend the Hawthorne.

This is an amazing cozy little spot to stay at. It is walking distance to little Italy and other great parts of Down Town, furnished nicely, and is always clean. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a stay in San Diego!

My personal definition of where I live, allow me to postulate as such: Living At Hawthorne Historical Inn nestled high up on Bankers Hill as on the cusp of heaven as the planes fly overhead, the pilots looked down and smile reminding us There's nowhere Better to be Than San Diego .
