Little Italy Inn by Vantaggio

I liked the room. Spacious bathroom, clean shower, thick towels. I appreciated that the room had a small kitchenette with a kettle, plates, cutlery, and a refrigerator, perfect for preparing a quick meal. The only thing that bothered me was that the portable air conditioner was noisy, which occasionally interrupted my sleep. There's an incredibly clean communal kitchen with many ovens and stovetops for preparing or heating food. The staff was very friendly. The location is perfect for enjoying the Little Italy neighborhood. If you want to save money on your stay, this is a good option.

Will start with "you get what you pay for". I would summarize the experience as a "self serve" hotel, no frills but just what you need. Room was clean, bed was comfortable. We were on an inside room so noise level was minimal. On that note, the air conditioner was a free standing unit in the room, it was VERY noisy so bring ear plugs and if you are a light sleeper you better think twice. Coffee maker is boiled water and instant coffee. Location is about as good as you can get, the Saturday farmers market is about 200 feet away. USS Midway is 1 mile, we walked their no problem. All the restaurants and bars you could want within a 5 minute walk. Always felt very safe in the area. Uber drivers were abundant. Parking garage was secure and easily accessible. For the money, I'm not sure

A very cool Apart Hotel in Little Italy. Great location by the farmer's market. Private bathroom, small bedroom, and huge common areas including a gym, well equipped kitchen, and living space. Will definitely stay again next time we are in town!

Well maintained rooms, fresh linens, towels etc. Fan, A/C (portable unit) and heating are available. In room free wifi, refrigerator as well The property has a common kitchen open for most daytime hours, a vending machine and a 24x7 reception. Location is very close to center of Little Italy and several great restaurants. Also walkable from the metro and Amtrak stations. Gaslamp quarter is also walkable/metro-able For ~$100/night in peak Christmas time, this was quite awesome The only con is the sink is OUTSIDE the bathroom, in the main room area 😅, but for the rate I paid, this is barely an issue

Soooo happy with our stay at the Little Italy Inn! It was simple but exactly what we needed for our week stay in San Diego. The location was fantastic as we could walk to many nearby restaurants and a gelateria. On Wednesdays and Saturdays, Little Italy has a wonderful farmer's market that was right outside the building!
