The Hostel California, THC

Actually the hostel/house is not in downtown, not in gaslapm, is in Hillcrest, the coolest neighborhood in San Diego. Andybnb is superior, but I don’t mind sleeping on CouchPoints. I had a really good time there. I enjoyed the friendly environment that it has. The parties, cool people, and the hot tub are the most remarkable things about this place. I would love to be back

The Hostel is located at the heart of Downtown! This place has it all from great food to delicious drinks. Jon Neagle has tremendous customer service. I will definitely be back with friends.

This was my first hostel stay ever, I stayed here for 8 days coming from jersey. Andy exceeded my expectations and I couldn’t have asked for more. I’ve met some of the best people from all over the world here. I will definitely be back in the summer! Everyone was so welcoming and there’s always something fun to do! If you have the opportunity to stay here DO IT! Balboa park is super close, tons of museums (kid friendly).

Such a unique hostel experience! Absolutely loved the collaborative art atmosphere and community of this hostel. Location is a 10/10, walking distance to shops, restaurants, grocery stores etc. Felt very safe here as a solo female. The outdoor space was my favorite and had enough room to socialize or do your own thing. Would recommend to anyone! Thank you Andy!

Very welcoming environment, not too spacious, but this, which initially I thought would be its weak point, instead turned out to be its strong point, because it made coexistence very intimate and created a sort of family bond between the guests in the hostel. Andy is very helpful and kind and the location of the hostel is excellent for reaching every point of San Diego, especially thanks to the many transport connections close to it. I hope to be able to return one day.
