Wyndham Garden North Bergen near Secaucus

The hotel is nice and clean. We ate dinner in the attached restaurant. Food was great. Our waiter, Mateo, was especially friendly and very helpful with advice for navigating public transit into NYC. The location made it easy to get into the city. It was a short ~$8 Uber ride to a bus stop where we could board a bus straight into the city and drops you off at the Port Authority near Times Square. It was less expensive than taking the train from the Path station in Hoboken. The only issues we observed were 1) you can’t stop water from coming out from under the shower door and spilling water onto the floor. Plus they don’t give you a towel/bath mat to put on the floor outside the shower. Be very careful stepping out of the shower to not slip on the water on the floor. 2) the hallway is extre

This hotel was a great stay for my trip to NYC. I loved the room, it was very cozy and clean. There was a microwave located in our hall. There was also a bar and night club connected to the hotel across the lobby, which was perfect after coming back from the city. I had no issues checking-in or out, and I did pay my deposit in cash. There was a bus stop about 5 mins away from the hotel, infront of the Food Bazaar store that takes you and from Port Authority. Overall would recommend and would stay here again if I ever plan another nyc trip.

Positive: Free shuttle service to & from the airport. Staff were super nice and respectful. Proximity to NYC is a plus. Negative: They did not have complimentary breakfast. There is a hotel/cafe on the premises but it?s not that great. Hopefully they start offering free breakfast options.

Our stay at Wyndham Garden North Bergen was extremely disappointing and poorly managed from start to finish. We paid over $1,00 for a five-night stay and experienced significant issues for three consecutive days, all of which were avoidable and required repeated trips to the front desk just to get basic service. On arrival, our shower was completely non-functional. After a technician confirmed it was not a simple fix, we needed to switch rooms. The replacement room was not properly prepared—none of the shower dispensers were filled. Despite contacting the front desk and explicitly requesting housekeeping with the necessary products, it took an unreasonable amount of time for anyone to arrive, and when they did, they only filled one dispenser and did not have shampoo or conditioner availa

Upon arrival, the staff insisted that I pay the full amount for my stay even though the booking was already prepaid. They claimed they could not find my payment and refused to let me access the room. After more than 12 hours of travel, we had no real choice but to pay again on the spot and dispute the charge later with the booking provider. After paying for the entire stay a second time, the staff then had the audacity to request an additional deposit fee. Thankfully, the situation was eventually resolved by my booking provider, but this should never have happened in the first place. The staff experience was absolutely atrocious.
