Fairfield by Marriott Inn & Suites North Bergen

Hotel staff was very helpful. We were able to store the luggage before check in (cuz we arrived early) and after check out (cuz we were leaving later). Breakfast was simple - bacons were crispy and tasty, scrambled eggs, hard boiled eggs, cereal, instant oatmeal (brown sugar/cinnamon), bagel and bread, coffee, OJ and apple juice. There was oat milk and 2% milk available. Room was nice and clean. We enjoyed the stay!

My husband and I stayed at this hotel from December 26-28. The room was clean and comfortable, and the buffet breakfast generous and varied, as we find at other Fairfield locations. THis hotel is near to bus stop for 40 minute ride to Port Authority station. On December 26 front desk staffer Eli offered me and other customers exceptional service. He was extremely patient and courteous to two different sets of guests who to me seemed extremely cranky and demanding. He went out of his way to accommodate us, by offering me a brush to clear snow from our car, and also offering to turn on the dining room lights for us to eat take-out (well after hours, since the dining room is only open for breakfast). All the other hotel staff were friendly and helpful as well.

Nice and clean hotel. We booked this hotel due to its location, it is located only a few minutes from the bus stop which will take you to NYC. ||The breakfast is great, the plenty of selection. You can make yourself a tea or coffee anytime. And the beds are nice. Bathroom is good too, all the amenities you’d expect. ||The parking lot is a bit small but will be fine unless you’re going during a busy season. It was completely full on thanks giving.

Very disappointing customer service experience. I contacted the hotel three separate times and asked to speak with a manager. Each time I was told the manager was “in a meeting,” and despite requesting callbacks, no manager ever contacted me. I worked with multiple Expedia representatives, and while one agent was able to secure a refund for one night only, I clearly stated that I would also be willing to rebook the stay for a future date or accept a credit. I was told this was not an option, which I found surprising, as I have never previously had an issue rebooking a hotel stay. What makes this even more frustrating is that I continue to receive requests to review my stay, despite my concerns never being addressed and management never contacting me. This feels dismissive and insulting rat

Stayed here for several nights at Fairfield by Marriott Inn & Suites North Bergen and it was a fantastic choice — full 5 stars and great for anyone wanting to explore NYC without Manhattan prices! The location is outstanding (5 stars): at 1707 69th St in North Bergen, NJ, you're super close to the Lincoln Tunnel/Port Authority for quick drives or buses into Manhattan (about 15-20 min to Midtown on a good day), easy access to the Meadowlands (MetLife Stadium, American Dream mall), and convenient to Newark Airport too. Public transit options nearby make getting to Times Square, Central Park, or downtown straightforward — perfect base if you're driving or want a quieter spot after city days. The area has some good local eats and feels safe.
