WorldMark San Diego - Mission Valley

Overall our experience was fine, just know there’s extra fees for parking and WiFi. I found yellow stains on the duvet and we called twice to ask for a clean one and they didn’t ever bring us one. The second time we called we were hung up on. Our room keys would randomly stop working and we had to go to the lobby to get new ones everyday. Overall everything was alright and fairly clean except for the duvet and service. Edit- I found a roach in my bathroom today and I am disgusted. People pay a lot of money to use this place and it’s not clean, there’s bugs in the room and getting ahold of the staff is a nightmare. 0/5 would not recommend.

Nice heated pool but small jacuzzi. Rooms are big, spacious and updated but showeres are bathtub showers. Nice kitchen with oven and full size fridge. Parking is $25/day or free street parking if you can find it. Lotta closet spaces. Big game room with some games.

Check-in was easy, but I was hounded by the Worldmark people throughout my trip to sign up for a session to buy something with them. Didn’t appreciate that much.||I stayed in a two bedroom suite, it was spacious and everything looked new and very clean. My room initially faced the freeway, and looked into another suite, so I requested a move to the backside, which looks right onto a scrubby hill. So, no VIEW to speak of, and too noisy to sit outside on my balcony. But the sweet itself was perfectly wonderful.

We've stayed in a lot of WorldMark resorts. We love the large suite sizes and opportunities to stay in a variety of locations. This resort seems to have been recently updated. The carpets and furnishings are new. We had booked a 2 bedroom Less Desirable Location and were worried about what we would get. We were pleasantly surprised to have a third floor unit facing the adjacent green hill. The first floor units facing the back might be considered less desirable-- their back patios are not deep and have high walls. Parking is now a charged service. They then offer you free parking if you come to one of their sales presentations. The sales people at this location were more pushy than what we've experienced at other locations. Overall, a very poor experience. The front desk staff were not particularly welcoming, especially the eyebrow technician and the Black woman working the front desk around 8:30 AM on December 27. They were incredibly dismissive and contributed significantly to my negative overall experience. This is by far the worst WorldMark property I’ve stayed at. The fact that I’m paying thousands of dollars every year to receive this level of treatment is ridiculous. I have been strongly recommending that my family and friends do not purchase these overpriced timeshares. The gym is unacceptable: there is visible leakage, and the dumbbells only go up to 25 lbs.
