WoodSpring Suites Meridian

This is one of the nicest hotels I have ever stayed at. The rooms are nicely laid out. All of the staff are kind and helpful. A special shout out to Chris the maintenance man for his rapid response to issues. It would be difficult to find a better location for the area; there's easy access to the freeway; plenty of different places to eat and shop nearby and it's not far from the Boise Air Terminal. I highly recommend it.

The room was fine overall. No curtains on the window and zero hand towels. Very basic room. My biggest complaint is that I was quoted for $405 with tax and when I arrived the price was $435. I wasn’t given a thorough explanation as to why it had gone up so much. The person at the front desk said it was some type of added tax. When I went to checkout after my stay I asked them again about the added tax and they said it was for some type of community improvement. They need to be more transparent about the added tax online instead of having customers show up with an extra tax.

Positive: It was easy to check in and pretty clean, and a new building Negative: The fire alarm went off with 10 mins of us checking in but that’s not in the control of the staff

WoodSpring Suites was our home for months while we were in between homes. It is an extended stay so a bit different than the HIlton where they come into your room daily to clean. It is a very clean, smoke free, hotel with a stove, full refrigerator/freezer and kitchen sink. We enjoyed this as we wanted more of a homey place where we could cook our own food rather than eat out. I brought my own kitchen items. However, all you have to do is ask the wonderful staff for anything you need. The rooms have ample storage for your own belongings and then some. Therefore, they do not provide in room, cookware, coffee pots and other unless you ask for them. I liked this as this gave us more room to store what we used along with more room for our personal items. The room does not have carpet.

I have had nothing but problems since we got here. This is the second night we've been here. 1st there was No water pressure to take a shower, so I tried taking a bath, the plug is broken. The lady in the office was super sweet and gave us a different room. I took a shower and went to dry my hair and saw a bug. I screamed for my boyfriend. He did a Google image search and it was dead adult lice, it was dead but GROSSSS!!!!! I'm praying I don't end up with HEADLICE... UPDATE: I am changing my rating from 1 to 3. The staff have great attitudes and have been super helpful. It has definitely made the stay more pleasant.
