WoodSpring Suites Macon North I-75

The staff was VERY friendly and helpful! The location was okay, traffic from I-75 was VERY loud. I arrived very late, but there was no one around as mentioned in other reviews. I did not feel unsafe. There is a smell in the building and in my room. Smells like people had previously smoked in the building to me. The room was sparsely decoarted but was clean. No lamps just overhead lighting. It appears they are trying to update and repair the rooms. There was a new wood like flooring, which was nice. The cabinets in the kitchenette was missing doors, but kitchette was very clean. The mattress was comfortable and well maintained - checked for bed bugs before turning on lights and no sign of them, which is always a relief. This hotel is terrible!! stay away!!! roaches everywhere crawling around in the room on the walls bathtub. the most unwelcoming lobby ever you just walk in to a desk and a phone on the wall because no one was at the desk...you have to call and wait until someone shows up. This lobby had nowhere for anyone to sit which is important if you like me have a disability and cannot stand for long. This made the check in so much worse. The Manager was not welcoming at all! She took 25 mins to check us in no friendly demeanor at all very only asked your name while she should have been updating us on what was going on did not say anything until she finally got the papers to print and barely explained what she was asking us to sign. The overall experience is usually good. The employees are very helpful. The only complaint I’d have is lack of scheduled room cleanings. I understood that every other week the room was supposed to be cleaned. Before I checked out the last time my room had been cleaned was 4 weeks which I find to be poor practice. The last time my room was cleaned thoroughly was by the assistant manager and she did a wonderful job but no one had touched my room since. One of the perks of being in an extended stay is the cleaning service and to be lacking that regularly definitely made me unhappy. [Review collected by TrustYou]

We encountered roaches in the room, and even found ticks, which I had an extremely unpleasant experience at this hotel and would not recommend it to anyone. This place is a GREAT place to stay for a short or long term stay. The rooms are SUPER CLEAN, no smell, clean linen and EXCELLENT PROFESSIONAL STAFF. They’re very helpful and friendly. Safety is not an issue with the well lit parking lot not to mention the 24/7 security cameras around the entire property. Management DOESE NOT accept any foolishness or drama on the property. Such a family friendly place. I stayed for 2 months on a nursing contract. Well recommended 10/10
