TownePlace Suites by Marriott Macon Mercer University

Nice to get upgraded as a titanium into a suite. The hotel is relatively new so everything was lovely, fresh and clean. I’m not a big fan of this group of hotels as most I’ve experienced are old and smelly so I avoid them, but this one is the best and right off I75. Some casual restaurants and bars are all within walking distance and the parking is free. It has a pool and gym. Only disappointment was breakfast is totally cleared away and gone by 9am. Gretchen on front desk on check in and check out was delightful and gave us waters as we missed breakfast. I recommend this place!

From the moment that we stepped in the door receiving a very warm welcome until our last goodbye, our experience was nothing but extremely positive. Our room was spotless. Every staff member was so helpful , friendly and welcoming...southern hospitality at its finest! We loved staying so much that we extended our stay for another night. The young man preparing breakfast was polite and courteous. We cannot say enough about our stay here. It has truly set the bar high for other Marriotts.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Outstanding Service & Family-Friendly Experience We had a fantastic stay at SpringHill Suites in Macon, Georgia, and I want to specifically recognize Christian, who assisted us during check-in. From the moment we arrived, Christian provided outstanding customer service. He took the time to understand our situation — traveling with two young kids and a dog — and went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable. He was able to place us in a two-bedroom suite and thoughtfully arranged for us to be on the first floor, which made things incredibly convenient for our family. Pleasant front desk. Room small but nice. Full frig, cook top, sink. Great closet. TV is wall mounted so that it needs positioning to watch from bed OR couch. Quiet except we were end room next to a staff area (maybe laundry?) and we got a bit of noise into the evening. Breakfast typical free hotel and completely adequate. Loved the peach compote. One tip: Using the fold out sleeper sofa would make for a very tight space.

The first associate of Marriott we met with Christian at the front counter. He greeted us very pleasantly and very professionally asking what he can do to possibly help us. We told him we were there to check in and he asked for identification. As our conversation with him grew we felt that we were in the presence of a young man that was very intelligent young man who has a huge empathetic spirit for people and he's ready to provide a service in order to help in any way possible ensuring his guest has a quality fantastic stay! Thank you Christian. We were quite impressed. We absolutely had a great conversation with Christian. I feel he's a huge asset for Marriott and I hope his future with Marriott grows and producers a very productive career. Charlie
