WoodSpring Suites Gilbert

This is a long term stay hotel primarily for construction workers. The only amenities are laundry facility, a vending machine and coffee that is not very good, but Starbucks is across the parking lot. They do not provide daily room service (which I prefer), no cooking utensils of any kind, but the rooms are equipped with a two burner stove, full sized refrigerator with ice cube trays (no ice machine in the building), a microwave and a small kitchen sink. Lots of storage. The room was clean. The kitchen areas back up to each other from room to room, so you can hear banging and noise if someone is cooking in their unit. The hotel is in a great location as there are not many hotels in that area. Overall, the hotel was clean and in good condition. Walls are very thin. We heard traffic and any noise made in the hallway or rooms in each side of us. The most frustrating part of our 4 night stay were the beds, specifically what were supposed to be mattresses: we had two queen beds. Is 'unsleepable' a word. By far and away the most uncomfortable thing we have ever tried to sleep on. They ruined our trip because we were exhausted the whole time and our bodies ached. We aren't complainers, but my wife did ask two employees in the lobby of people ever complained about the beds. We stayed there for my sister’s wedding. The beds were very uncomfortable and there were no curtains on the windows just blinds. The room was clean and I was surprised to see we had a full electric range stove top and a fridge that was a plus but I would have traded both for a more comfortable bed and curtains though.

This place might be new but, it’s such a dump. Beds are rickety on like Amazon frames. The walls are thin and you can hear people talk and banging around. The room smelled like someone’s funky leftover food or something. Definitely not clean smelling. They have zero amenities. For the cost it’s such a rip off. Totally got screwed staying here.
