WoodSpring Suites Bakersfield East

Room was clean, BUT the person(s) above us STOMPED around CONSTANTLY from 6pm to 6am!! Non-Stop. Tried to get top floor for the next night, all full. To the Hotels credit, they cancelled our 2nd night and gave us a refund.

Positive: The beds were comfortable Negative: The bathroom had no fan, enough towels, too small, the housekeeping did not clean very well food left in the sink and floor was dirty.

Just passing through but it was very mediocre. No amenities except a large refrigerator, and a burner top. If the sign says that they rent weekly or monthly, be ready for something similar to a housing area. No coffee maker in room, no coffee, you would have to buy everything including hygiene items. Our towels, very thin. No hand towels. Small soap. But a delicious breakfast restaurant located across the street. So we got there in the evening and left in the morning. It is just a place to shower and sleep. The price was high for this type of hotel.

Pretty good little place. Easy check in, room was nearly clean - just some junk/debris/dust on the floor, full sized fridge, micro, 2 burner range. Clean and comfortable bed, although only one side had a nightstand and light, clean bathroom, working a/c. I could definitely hear the train, but no hwy noise. I felt safe. I'd definitely stay there again.

How can something new be so bad? Staff less than helpful, we checked in with 2 small well behaved dogs because we were told it was $5/dog. Turns out it was $5/dog PLUS a $30 non-refundable "deposit". Plenty of other options nearby, do yourself a favour and stay elsewhere.
