WoodSpring Suites Bakersfield Airport

I live out of the country going home only twice a year. I’ve been staying here at the WoodSpring suites for almost 4 years now. I must say the best part of this Hotel is the manager Anthony. He’s so accommodating and friendly. That dude is hard-working and if you have any issue, he’s right on it. He is the main reason I stay here.

Update: Anthony called me back and after talking with the owners, they did NOT credit the room for one night. Disappointing as we had 8 rooms booked with them. We willl no longer use Woodsprings in the future. Also, John told two other coworkers that the early check in fee was $50. It’s $25. Again, the 5 stars is ONLY for ANTHONY. Thanks for doing such an excellent job. Appreciate you. Internet was terrible and the power plugs didn't work well

Not recommend. #1. Front desk staff are not friendly or welcoming. #2. The hallways smelled like a combo of lots of Pinesol, cigarettes, meat, and kitty litter. #3. The bathroom only had 2 very small, thin towels. No hand towel and 2 washcloths. #4. No black-out curtains! So the room was fully bright when the sun came up. #5. Each bed had 2 very small, lumpy pillows. #6. The closet has no doors (even though it’s an “extended stay” place). We wouldn’t want to stay more than one night, let alone any extended period of time.

Great, dog friendly, budget hotel. Rooms are large enough, kitchenette, quiet and clean. Nothing fancy. Beds and pillows definitely need upgrading.
