WoodSpring Suites Amarillo East I-40

I will say that this is one of the most affordable suites I've ever stayed at!! It has a stove top, cabinet space, wifi, and full size refrigerator!! My husband travels for work so we have been to a lot of motels and this one is in our top five!! Vanessa is one of the front desk employees SHE IS AMAZING!! She goes above and beyond to help with whatever it is that you need, she is one of the most respectful employees here, and she makes me feel welcome!! Also, I will say that the housekeepers are very great at what they do!!! They keep the hotel smelling great and other than 2 bad apples, THIS BUNCH IS GREAT!! KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!!!

First room had a roach on the bed, then they gave us a new room that had dirty stained sheets on the bed. Overall vibe felt dingy and unpleasant and the parking lot smelled like sewage. Receptionist was apparently willing but not authorized to give a refund. We ultimately went to a different hotel.

Positive: Convenient Negative: Drawer was missing in kitchenette. Room walls dirty and was woken up during night from roach on left ear. There were many roaches..

The first thing you notice is that there is no automatic door to the entrance. This is not very convenient for anyone with more than one piece of luggage. The next thing is that you are required to show your ID as well as credit card and wait for all your ID info to be input to their system. Next, there is another single door which you have to use your keycard to gain access to where the rooms are. ||||Once you get in there is a strong sour odor in the hallway.||||On entering the “suite” you find it is not a suite at all, just a smallish room with a kitchenette. If you plan on preparing any meals, make sure you bring your own flatware, cutlery, and pots/pans because they do not provide any.||||The bathroom is basic, with tub and sink, two towels, one washcloth, and a small bar of soap. N

Stopped while driving through Texas. Asked if they were pet friendly and they said yes. And told dme a room price of 81$ did not mention that there was a 50$ pet charge I found out after she ran my card and told me the total of 134$ they have no coffee machines on the rooms you have to pay to rent those. The room is in heavy need of renovations. When we woke up we found a cockroach in the skink. Would not recommend staying here. Oh and when I asked the front desk for an extra towel she acted like she was spoiling me for giving me one towel and said nobody else probably would have given me one if my room already had two in it.
