Wingate by Wyndham Lake George

I wanted to make a reservation at this hotel for December, but due to an error in the system, I accidentally booked it for January. Upon realizing the mistake within five minutes, we requested a cancellation and tried to rebook with the correct dates. However, the hotel refused to cancel the incorrect reservation and charged us $200, completely disregarding customer satisfaction. You have lost one customer, and possibly more, as it’s clear that your priority is money over customer care. I do not recommend this hotel at all. Do not book here; they do not assist their customers, and if you encounter any issues, you will not receive help. We suffered even before staying, and the likelihood of being disappointed during your stay is high. Therefore, I strongly advise against choosing this hotel

The location of the hotel is great! But the hotel itself is somewhere I won’t be staying again. The bathtub had hair from previous guests in the drain. The ceiling was moldy from the shower heat and there was no air filtration in the bathroom. The beds were so uncomfortable and hard to sleep in. The breakfast was all cold and made my family sick. Honestly I wouldn’t stay here. The only good thing is the service desk person, he was very accommodating and patient when we had trouble at check in.

The front desk people were great! I hope they can get better support from management with manpower and maintenance as they were clearly lacking. Our headboards were greasy, the bathroom sink was out if order. The tub drained slow. The bedside lamp was unplugged with no where to plug it in. The white linens and towels were dingy. There was a blood smudge on the bathroom wall next to the waste basket. The breakfast was mostly high processed carbs. There is no elevator making luggage hauling quite difficult. You have to request room service and we did not because the few employees we saw clearly had too much to do. The lobby windows were dirty. With investment of repairs and additional staff it could be good as the location is convenient.

Room was clean with comfortable beds. Pillows are flat. Showers are slow and low brown water from faucet and shower head. Continental breakfast was a joke. Only offering was make yourself a waffle, toast, bagels, 2 choices of cold cereal, instant oatmeal and plain yogurt. Coffee machine was broken and creamer dispenser was out of order. Staff never at front desk as they do double duties but reachable via phone and very pleasant.

This hotel was horrible. The sheets were dirty. They didn’t have enough towels, not enough pillows and the pillows were so flat when I asked for more pillows they only had one in the building and it was flat. The entrance had about 15 people laying around the chairs and floors because they had an issue with the booking and were blocking the entrance. The staff allowed this. The continental breakfast was horrible. Old fruit, the only good thing was the toast, barely anything. Microwave gross! Location good but way overpriced!
