Excellent, helpful and kind front desk staff. Welcoming and accommodating. I do a lot of driving across the country. Sometimes I need pet friendly hotels and sometimes I do not. This was a moment where I did not, but I had a very challenging day of driving with weather, etc. and desperately needed amenities. Jason was absolutely wonderful upon my check-in and really helped in more matters than one. He was also the person I spoke to over the phone which really sold me on staying at This particular hotel. Front desk staff in the morning was also very kind and helpful. I really liked the room, it was comfortable, clean. Wingate is an excellent place. All the staff was real nice and very respectful. I had a very quiet stay. This place will be my go to if I just want to get away from life. I will be returning every chance I get. You all went above and beyond my expectations. They do serve a hot breakfast and coffee anytime of day.

The hard workers of this hotel are the best of the best! We had an emergency and about 80 to 90 family members showed up and the staff from day 1 to day 5 were awesome great people. The breakfast there is amazing. The coffe fresh ALL TIME. The rooms were nice and clean. I for sure recommend to anyone traveling by or has any type of event going on in your life. Thank you for everything.

I really only booked the room to have a place to sleep and shower for two nights, and the hotel got one of these right. The shower was a problem because, when the shower was turned on, water would gather on the ceiling and rain down. It was very unpleasant, so I skipped a shower on my second night, took a video of the problem, and shared my concern and the video with hotel staff when I checked out. Other than that, the room and common areas seemed to be mostly clean, although I cleaned things in the room that housekeeping clearly didn't get to (e.g., a sticky microwave knob). I also found the elevators intolerably hot. Yes, it was record heat outside, but I don't understand why the elevator cars weren't air conditioned like the rest of the hotel common areas. Stayed here during the Missouri Wrestling State weekend, so prices were definitely higher than usual and options in the area were limited. This was one of the last places with availability, so it worked for what was needed at the time. The hotel is older but mostly clean. They offer breakfast, and there is an older pool, hot tub, and a small gym available. Nothing fancy, but the basic amenities were there. I did have some issues with the TV and the heater in the room, but the front desk staff came up within about 10 minutes to try to fix it, which was appreciated. The building has definitely settled over time, the drawers would randomly slide open because the room was so unlevel, and the walls are very thin so you can hear quite a bit from neighboring rooms.
