TownePlace Suites by Marriott Columbia

We stay at this hotel regularly to and from NC to Colorado to visit our grown kids. We have dogs who travel with us at least 3 times per year and we love staying at the Towneplace Suites in Columbia. The team is very accommodating, friendly, helpful and kind - thus we have no need to check other places. We highly recommend this hotel with or without dogs.. the bonus is the amazing restaurant just steps away from the hotel- excellent food, both onsite and "to go". Happy travels!

There was a prescription pill in plain view in the utensil drawer and a knife with crusted peanut butter facing up. Generally there was concern about the cleanliness of the room overall, aside from the bed. It felt like the sheets were changed, the bed made, the dishwasher started, and a superficial wipe of surfaces with no care to clean properly. The remote also had a plastic cover on it that was labeled "this was installed by guest" but clearly had been wiped/reused over and over across multiple guests in the room (based on the wear evident of the label); it was a pointless cover anyway, since the remotes were designed for easy cleaning; the cover actually made it less likely that cleaning staff properly sanitized it between guests. Right off the highway very quiet and clean. Room was like a small apartment with kitchenette. Everything was clean and in working order. Bed was fine and bathroom was clean and modern. Breakfast had usual plus breakfast sandwiches. A small area with adequate seating. Despite being full place was VERY quiet. Parking lot well lit and walking distance to some restaurant on other side of parking lot. Towne Place usually the less fancy of the Marriotts but this one was worth the stay.

I am a gold Marriott member. I booked on the app thinking it was another property in Jefferson City. When I got to the hotel in Jeff city I found out it was actually this one. I tried to cancel and they refused to refund me. Now I have to dispute it with Marriott and the credit card company. This hotel is a fraud and joke. They hadn’t even charged my card yet and rushed to charge my Credit card. The front desk lady was so rude. Stay away from this place if this is how they treat loyal gold members with the Marriott cc I’d hate to be anyone else.

Not very happy with this stay at all. Pillows are thin and very uncomfortable. They advertise hot breakfast but really its just some warmed up soggy sandwiches in a bag that fall apart if you try to eat them cause the bread was wet. The shower handle was broken so the water was either scorching hot or freezing cold. I went to tell the front desk clerk as I was checking out and she finished my sentence on how the handle just flings around, it was pretty obvious they already knew about it and didnt fix it. I will definitely not be back to this hotel
