Hampton Inn Columbia

While this experience wasn't "bad" it certainly was not what I expect from Hilton properties. The rooms badly need repair and remodel. There were stains on the ceiling, water damage in the bathroom, the smoke detector was hanging off the wall, etc. The staff was perfectly lovely so if room conditions aren't an issue you'll be fine here.

Positive: The evening staff was amazing?10 stars for them! Unfortunately, our room had a strange odor, possibly from body odor or a pet accident, and we had no other options due to holiday travel. Negative: Our room had a foul odor that made us doubt how clean it was. I informed the morning staff, but they seemed indifferent. Disappointing, as Hilton properties are known for cleanliness and care.

Had a great experience here. The front desk staff member greeted us when we came in and was super friendly and offered complimentary waters. Shower was nice and hot. Room was clean. Breakfast area was tidy, organized, and food was good. They had complimentary ice scrapers out for guests due to a lot of snow overnight. Would stay here again when in Como.

I am a Hilton Honors Diamond member and have been loyal to Hilton properties for years. I personally book all of our company travel through the Hilton Honors app and average well over 100 stays per year, with plans to bring 75 to 100 nights annually to this location alone. I made a reservation online for one of my employees, something I have done many times without issue at Hilton properties across the country. When my employee arrived, he was told he could not check in unless the physical credit card used to book the room was present. This has never been required in my experience and was never communicated during booking. As a result, my employee was left stranded at the desk. I then called the front desk to resolve the situation and was met with an extremely rude and dismissive attitud

Terrible signage - very hard to find this hotel. Once you do, plan on driving into a few neighboring entrances. Staff was goofing around, talking about their water bottles. Room was dated. TV did not work. Thermostat did not work. Carpet stained, bathroom needed better cleaning. One good point: the very nice, caring, helpful lady serving the breakfast. She should teach the others who pays their salaries.
