We arrived early October and were welcomed by very friendly owners. The park wasn’t very busy. We found a quiet campsite in the back that could accommodate our truck and 28’ trailer. The leaves were changing and the campsite was so colorful and serene that we decided to stay another night to enjoy the peace. The showers were clean, hot and had great water pressure. An overall great experience that we wish we had more time to enjoy.
Great location for nerby attractions. It is a very quiet and well maintained campground. The sites are big and easy to get into. There are ATV trails. You also may get lucky and see a moose on your adventures. The staff was friendly and helpful.
We stayed here with our 29" travel trailer for a couple of nights. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. I feels like a family run campground. There was a small swimming pool and playground right behind the office/store. The booking process was simple and that check-in was easy. The sites were nicely separated by trees so you didn't feel like you were packed in like in some campgrounds. The bath house was nice, functional and clean. The shower was fed hot water by what seemed to be a tankless water heater because there was never a shortage or cool-down. Our site was flat and clean with plenty of room for our trailer and two vehicles. The campground was quiet, clean and well maintained. The only problem we had was with the electrical hook-up. There was an issue with the GFCI
My son and I stayed a night here while travelling through on motorcycles. If you are not comfortable with some rocky roads be aware. My son and I do not have that problem, so we enjoyed our stay here. The hosts were very nice, warned us about the bumpy road and put us closer to the facilities and it a nice campsite. I realize we were there through the week, so it was super quite and peaceful. We wanted to ride out to Abol Bridge to get a great picture of Mount Katahdin and it was worth the ride out the gravel road. And thanks to the ladies there we found out about the painted rock out near Baxter State Park. Great stay !
Great, beautiful campground surely the most beautiful on our trek north! Great owner & camp host. The dogs were hilarious inside the office. Site 41 the best site there.
