100 Mile Wilderness Inn

Gail the owner was very accommodating as I was finishing up my trek on the Appalachian Trail. The rooms, shuttlers and her kindness made my visit extremely comfortable while hiking sections to my completion of the AT. I am doing a SoBo thru hike this year and was planning on staying the night here, then going over to Baxter State Park the next morning. So I went ahead and paid Gail for a night in the bunkhouse house immediately after arriving. After speaking with some other hikers who are going into the park this afternoon I decided to ride with them for $20. It would cost me $65 if I stayed the night then had Gail take me to the park in the morning. So I decided to just go ahead and go into the park tonight and try to save some money. But when I asked Gail for a refund since I'm no longer going to be staying the night, I was told that there was a 2-day cancellation policy and that no refund would be issued. I then explained that I thought it would be fair to maybe keep some of my money since I did use

I reserved a room for Dec 24 weeks in advance I called a few days before to confirm.... I showed up at 11 to check in Noone came to the door.. They new I was there someone was looking out the window.. Very unprofessional.. Not a way to run a business.. I found a place to stay fortunately..

Excellent place to stay while either hiking the 100 Mile wilderness or going to the State Park. Clean , friendly, and air conditioning unlike the others in the area. Her shuttle service is top notch because of her knowledge of the area. She knows all points of entry and exits. Loyd Kelly a shuttle service connected to Gail's place is awesome as well !! He also knows the area like the back of his hand. ( Great sense of humor ).

I cannot say enough great about Gail and her Inn....she is so helpful and extremely knowledgeable of all the trails, and hiker questions...Shuttle is on time and she knows the exact location of every trailhead. Accommodations were cleaner and better kept than many hotels....and super comfy....
