Wildcat View Group Camp

Grrrreat group campsite, with potable water, several benches in good condition, recycling and garbage bins and a clean outhouse. Fair warning: the parks only allows 3 cars to park at the campsite. Happy 🏕

Actually lived there for about a month summer of 1972. I was a 16 year old runaway who loved Tilden Park. This was a beautiful site with a big fire pit to keep warm and expansive view out onto an open field edged with towering eucalyptus. It was my little paradise - but ended up being too far away from my paper route job in nearby Kensington. I was in great shape back then - did a ton of walking : )

Always great place to meet wildlife.

Great group campground, perfect for a multifamily camping event with small children that feels remote but is minutes from civilization.

Nice roomy campsite. The covered fire pit is a handy feature.
