Hotel Shattuck Plaza

Great location, just across the street from a parking garage, and easy walking distance to shops, great restaurants, and the UC campus. Service was welcoming and the hotel checked both by text and calling the room to see if all was well. The room was missing a luggage rack, and they sent one up quickly. The bed was comfortable, the A/C and heater worked, and there was a minifridge (not a minibar) in the room. It's nice to see an historic hotel thriving downtown.

A very cute hotel. Let's just say I HATE most wallpaper but I loved the wallpaper and everything else about this place. Really glad we chose it. There were a few little broken things in our room (sink front fell off, shower drain was stuck, Keurig drain was full to brim of spilled water) BUT that didn't matter. Loved the decor. Great menu. Felt very unique. Right next to BART station (though we didn't use it) and super close to the college for our visit. The staff was so enthusiastic and helpful. Very handy valet parking. I was a little worried about multiple people warning us not to leave luggage in our car due to theft. First - the valet solved it and second they held our luggage after we checked out while we did the college visit.

Our flight into San Francisco was delayed multiple times. What should have been an approximate 9 PM arrival, turned out to be 2 AM! The gentleman at the front desk was wonderful. He processed us quickly, took care of our rental car parking and got us into our room so we could collapse on the bed and sleep. The next day, we ordered a continental breakfast from room service and it arrived quicker than they estimated. The croissants came warm. The fruit plate was fresh -- no out of season tasting fruit at all. We stayed here for my daughter's graduation from UC Berkeley and decided to have our celebration dinner at Zino. The food was EXCELLENT! The cocktails from the bar were fabulous. I really can't say enough nice things about this hotel. I only wish I would have found it sooner for a

Great location, close to BART station and local buses. Plenty of nice food places nearby. Had a nice room on Level 4, long walk from the elevator but quiet and had good views of the street. Reception was always helpful and accommodating.

My girlfriend and I stayed here for one night to celebrate our anniversary, and it was perfect. Erin was amazing—kind, thoughtful, and incredibly helpful. She made our trip even more special by helping us get approved for a room upgrade for our special night, and we were so grateful.||All of the staff were very nice, and the rooms and hotel overall are beautiful, clean, and classy. The prices are amazing for what you get. The location is great, with many places nearby to go out and eat, and check-in and check-out were very easy. BART is right next door as well.||If you want a couples getaway or a short stay for business, I highly recommend this hotel. It’s absolutely worth it. We also loved learning about the history of the hotel.
