Nice area lots of opportunity to get a deer just gotta see them though 😄 🤣 😂 always seems like the allow rapid fire at the range next door soon as hunting comes around and im not even joking. Its honestly a problem because I know I would be getting talked to if I was shooting multiple shots in a second. But every year here we are. Honestly I dont know why the DNR doesnt close the range down for the hunting season because there is always someone and I guarantee they hate hunters going out there to shoot every day... every day..... all day.... its ridiculous they are just trying to scare the deer away. I have seen multiple poached deer on the property and stands that are left all season without info. Which is really annoying specially when you never see anyone in them they just take up the

The recently installed barriers in pistol range, ya have to walk all the way around one end or other. Its a bit inconvenient if range is full, people bunch up on corners.

If its nice weather out avoid this place like the plague. If there is no range officer you are basically putting your safety into the hands of the idiots that take over this place. Instead of waiting for the rifle range to open up (which gets full and stays full due to people hanging out for hours) some people decide to use their rifles in the pistol range. Even through the rules prohibit this they decide its ok because there is no one to tell them no. Add to this the numbskull who is holding his pistol sideways to shoot it and the rapid fire rifle in the pistol range idiots. If you wanna go and have a good time, stick with the weekdays and when the weather isn't nice. Its a shame that a place like this gets ruined by a few dummies.

Went to the Range for the first time last week . A DNR Officer explained the rules . We used the pistol range for about an hour. It wasn't crowded. After we were done an DNR Officer answered any questions we had about the range. We enjoyed our time there and plan on going back sometime.

First visit to gun range and a short hunt afterwards. The gun range was a busy place for the 28th of December! Nice, friendly and helpful people of all ages and skill level! Great time! If you are thinking about visiting, just do it! Bring your boots this time of year as it is pretty muddy as to be expected. Also if you are using a GPS to get there do not take 200 off of IN 3 as instructed, that road ends at the Correctional Facilty, with posted notices of no firearms past this point!!! After a brief conversation with a security officer I was rerouted!
