Cornerstone Campground and Retreat Center

Lovely campground surrounded by cornfields, filled with trees, playground, pool, small lake, cafe, and outdoor church setting. Even though close to interstate 70, u think u are in the country. Nice tree shaded tent area separate from RVs. Friendly owners. Clean restrooms and well cared for park area. Must call for reservations and friendly staff sold us on stopping for the night. Will return.

Understand this is a Christian campground, and with that said it would normally not be our cup of tea simply because we don't like mixing religion or politics with business. This was a last minute change of plans for us as our original reservations at a campground in Kentucky got cancelled due to flooding so we were forced to find an alternative which is how we ended up here. The entrance to the campground is beautiful and the gentleman who greeted us at check-in was polite and friendly. The credit card fees seemed to be much higher than what I've seen elsewhere and he was pretty assertive about us paying with cash or check instead, even offering to wait for payment until the following day if we needed time to get to an ATM. This is a very nice campground! We will definitely be returning. Staff is super nice and always working around the campground, making sure everything is looking great! We stayed an extra couple of nights that we hadn't reserved and they worked us in our same site with no problem. Can't wait to go back!!

We arrived after 10pm and cheerfully greeted by Cyndee. She was very welcoming and showed up to our site, even helped assist parking in the dark. Originally we were going to be in overflow due to late notice but upon arrival, she and her husband let us know someone didn’t show and offered us a full hook up site. Upon sunrise, our kids enjoyed fishing, the huge play area, and the abundance of welcoming families. Although we were only there over night as we passed through, it was obvious they built such a welcoming resort with everything you could imagine for a memorable stay (including fresh food and coffee on site). I highly recommend staying here.

If I could give six stars, I would! Exceptionally nice hosts, plenty of grassy areas to walk dogs, good pizza. Gravel site was unlevel, but we were able to level the trailer with blocks. Restroom/showers were clean and water temperature was comfortable. Laundry was clean and operational: 3 washers, 3 dryers. Great value. We joined them for non-denominational church service on Sunday and it was really great. Definitely would recommend Cornerstone.
