White Rose Inn & Motel

Great location. Close to Nig's bar and Tacos Locos which were the best tacos I've ever had. Great walkability. There's a nice river walk trail next to the hotel, too. Good breakfast and beautiful view from the dining room. We had an issue and they made it right. Rooms and house is beautiful. We stayed in the Blue Room. We would definitely stay again.

Upon arrival the hotel looked like a haunted house with tall weeds and overgrown bushes blocking the walkway. We checked in with a pleasant young man who explained all we needed to know about the property, except he didn't mention how to request maid service which we didn't get.|Entering the main building we noticed several antique pictures and furniture in the public parlor area as we climbed the stairs to our room.|We stayed in the Blue Room which was 90% recently painted and wallpapered. It offered enough room for our king bed, antique dresser, and nightstand. Very clean and comfortable with lots of daylight. There were sufficient bathroom towels along with a few toiletries. However, the sink drain was slower than slow and the shower was difficult to control the temperature.|It was

Positive: The Sherman house was so beautiful and the porch overlooked the river. The breakfast was delicious. Negative: Everything was great. Only suggestion would be maybe change up the hot breakfast foods each day so the same thing isn’t served everyday.

My hubby and I stayed at the Carriage house in the first floor room (Stable room). It’s a cute room with a lot of space. I was excited about the hot tub, mostly. But we shortly found out the hot water only ran for less than a minute. Even with waiting for awhile because the upstairs loft also used their tub. It never stayed hot. The other issue I had was there was a clanking sound in the middle of the night coming from the locked closet in the bathroom. It immediately woke me up and left me awake because it continued through the night. The location is great because it’s right near the strip! And I loved the rest of the room - but if we stayed here again - I would want to try one of the other houses.

The staff were incredibly nice and helpful. They gave us a free upgrade to our room which was wonderful. We ended up having to leave earlier than scheduled, and they gave us a full refund and were very gracious about it. I would totally recommend staying at this place. It’s especially good for couples. Free breakfast too
