Stayed at Julie and Fran's place for one night! The bedrooms were clean and the beds were super comfy! We loved the atmosphere and talking to our hosts and other guests, the included amenities like breakfast and tea were super amazing. There is a bathroom shared amongst the four guest bedrooms but it was not a problem at all, felt like staying at a friend's house!

I really enjoyed my stay. Julie and Fran were warm, friendly hosts. My room and bed were clean and comfortable. This is the place to stay in Bethel, AK.

I have made several business trips to Bethel over the last year and Fran and Julie have provided a wonderful place to retreat to after a busy day's work. As a frequent traveler I am always grateful for a kitchen to cook my own meals rather than ordering out. Since it is a bed and breakfast with 5 bedrooms with a shared bathroom and kitchen it is communal living and on nearly every visit I have met interesting people with fascinating careers and backgrounds. The rural Alaskan way of life is more laid back than what many might be used to and finding lodging in Bethel is more than finding a place to sleep, it is a place where you are meeting new friends so be sure to keep in touch before and after your visit.

I made a reservation for students coming to Bethel for a week over 3 months in advance. At the time of the reservation I was told everything was in order and wasn't asked for any payment information. When I called 4 days before the reservation to confirm everything was in place I was told that the reservation had been canceled because they couldn't get in touch with me. They had taken down my information incorrectly, and felt like it was "too big of a risk" to keep the reservation. Fran was never apologetic about the situation and refused to take any accountability for the fact that he left me in a terrible position. Furthermore, he was not at all helpful about trying to offer alternatives. The way this business is run is discourteous and unprofessional, and I highly recommend looking else
