Old Mission House Bed and Breakfast

What an awesome place to stay. I have traveled to Bethel for work for over 20 years and have stayed at many places - Old Mission House is, by far the best! Very comfortable lodging, Beautiful views of the River, centrally located and the best hospitality in town. A real home away from home!!

I was recently stranded in Bethel due to weather. I had the pleasure of staying at Old Mission House. What a beautiful home with an amazing view. Vickie the proprietor, was welcoming and generous. The place was charming and clean. Unfortunately the weather cleared up and I had to fly out the next day. Highly recommend and would love to stay again.

As a frequent visitor to Bethel, Old Mission House is my favorite place to stay. The beds are comfortable, breakfast is available, and the views of sunrise and sunset over the Kuskokwim are spectacular. In addition to all of those perks, there are always interesting people staying at the B&B to talk with and spend time with in the evenings. Vicki is a truly hospitable host and makes her home feel like yours, whether you are staying for one night or several.

Old Mission House is a lovely, cozy, relaxing and VERY clean place to stay in Bethel. Vicky is not only an amazing hostess but if you're stuck in Bethel because of weather (which often happens), she will make sure that you have a place to stay. Even if that means contacting other B&B's in the area, if her home is full. I have only had wonderful experiences with Old Mission House B&B and Vicky the owner! Can't recommend it enough!

It's definitely "off the side of the side road" down by the river, but not far from what would be downtown Bethel, if there were a downtown Bethel. Rooms are basic, but fine (much better than fine for rural AK). Beautiful second floor living room (with views) to hang out in. Owner is friendly and helpful and knows a lot about Alaska. (Ask her what it was like during the pipeline construction days.)
