White Gull Inn

The ambiance, the food, the service are always wonderful! We were celebrating our 56th wedding anniversary. Waitress brought our dessert with a candle in it.|We had the butter/dill whitefish and the duck with cherry sauce. Excellent! The candles were lit and there was a man with guitar music. This restaurant is always a place we go to when in Door County. It just never disappoints!

We went to White Gull Inn for breakfast following a picture of their cherry stuffed french toast we found in the "Go" book we got at the Door County Visitor Center. OH MY!!! Absolutely amazing cherry stuffed french toast and cherry pancakes! Our server, Susan, was exceedingly kind and attentive as well! Coffee cup repeatedly filled, hot & fresh and water glasses continually filled as well. Fabulous experience and we'll look into staying at the inn for future trips!

We stopped by for breakfast on a Saturday morning this weekend. We were drawn in by ads for their Cherry stuffed French toast. We were also intrigued by the cherry pancakes. While the pancakes were very good in their own right, the French toast alone is worth any time needed to get in. Service was great. Food came quickly. The place filled up while we were there, so we were glad we got their early.

Portions were plentiful however my pancakes were dry which was disappointing. My partner's only hesitation about his stuffed French toast was that the cream cheese filling could have been sweeter but the French toast itself was delicious. The coffee is terrible here unfortunately. Our server wasn't rude but wasn't very friendly either. Never really took the time to talk to us or suggest menu items and was quick to touch our table then leave. We decided to stop here for breakfast today and it was the perfect ending to our first anniversary weekend in Door County. We sat on the patio since we had our dog with us, and they set up a table for us and provided excellent service! A big bonus that they are dog friendly! We got to try the Cherry Stuffed French Toast for the first time and it was absolutely amazing. The sausage links were also a delight. It was a perfect morning to enjoy the fall colors, watch the leaves fall, and enjoy some amazing food!
