Tennison Bay Campground

Tennison Bay Campground is a very big campground in Peninsula State Park. Most of the sites here are great! The bathrooms and shower buildings are relatively nice here. Our site had a swivel grill attached to the fire ring which we absolutely loved. It looked like every site had one. We would strongly recommend that you bring your bikes when you camp here. There are so many great biking trails here. There are also some nice hiking trails, but it seems that biking is bigger than hiking here. We enjoyed camping here! We prefer Tennison Bay Campground over South Nicolet Campground in this park.

This was such a wonderful experience!!! I not only loved the natural beauty of the shore and bluffs but the whole family friendly atmosphere with kids and families visiting each other and kids and families on bikes all over the place! It felt so neighborly like a suburb within a campground! It made me feel safe as I was camping alone. I also have to mention that at the top of the list for me was the Eagle trail hike which was too beautiful for words and magical! Completely blew me away with the natural beauty- oh the Niagara escarpment is an amazing thing to behold! I hardly could belive I was in the midwest!! Beautifully situated Campground in Pennisula State Park in a dense forest, on the shore of a lake and in absolute silence. The sounds of nature carry around in the silence that reigns here. The campsites are very private and give a sense of isolation. The facilities are kept in perfect cleanliness. I only recommend adapting to living among nature because at night racoons do not spare anyone and will gladly eat your food if you do not secure it for the night.

Honestly cannot wait for this Fall to enjoy this view again! Quiet campgrounds when we stayed, pretty spacious as well! Will always recommend people to camp at this state park!

We love this camp site! Lots of bathrooms, privacy at sites, close to the water and playgrounds. Beautiful and so much to do in the park and close by in fish creek!
