Westgate Towers Resort

Positive: Wifi connection and the 1 bedroom suite Negative: Yes, the resort fees. Don't know why we had to pay so much money, when there was Nothing but 2 pools.

Last-minute stay in a 1-bedroom unit with 2 bathrooms. Room was okay—spacious and functional—but felt cheaply renovated with low-quality finishes. Paper-thin walls/windows let in every outside noise (traffic, neighbors), making sleep tough. Fire alarm blared twice briefly—annoying and unexplained. The area feels a bit sketchy too… lock your doors and stay aware. You do get access to the nicer main Westgate resort up the street (I thought this was the main property when booking). Fine for a cheap, short crash pad on Irlo Bronson Highway—you get what you pay for—but skip if you want quiet, comfort, or a safer vibe.

We have been owners at Westgate for many years. We have traveled extensively with our children and grandchildren, but we have never had this kind of experience. We have a pool adjacent to our unit, which is not the splash pad or water park area. There has been an unsupervised adolescent in the pool area every evening from after dinner until 9pm that is screaming and running around the pool area. We witnessed a male with him yesterday that allowed him to stay for several hours unsupervised. Again, this evening, he is unsupervised, and screaming and jumping in the pool to get attention. We have called security multiple times, as he is a minor and out of control. We were told multiple times that someone would respond and locate a parent. We will reconsider we future bookings at this resort,

I very rarely post negative reviews I believe it’s a last resort and I always give every opportunity to make things right. I booked directly on Westgate site for a room with a jacuzzi, I called immediately after booking DIRECT, to inform them we will stay in the parks late and will be checking in around 3am. They said sure no problem and “noted my account” At exactly 3am I was greeted at the front door with the letter below, they moved me to entirely different property. No phone calls, no notice, had they called me the next question would have been, is there a jacuzzi in the room? No, please refund I am driving further and paying more for this amenity. Everyone at the property heard this story, and it was too late I was trapped and scammed. What’s worse is the couch was broken and we ask

We've been coming to Westgate Towers for years and have always gotten great service. This year, our experience has been abysmal. We were told by email that check in is at 4, we arrived at 2 just to let them know we're in the area and ask for a room with sunlight if possible. They told us to come back at 3:30. When we came back at 4 we were told by Sara the room (one without sunlight) was still not ready and could take up to 2 more hours to prepare, because they had a busy week and are at full capacity. In what world is that the guest's problem? Guests are expected to wait around indefinitely because of your poor planning.
