West Frio River Ranch

We had the BEST time during our stay at West Frio River Ranch and plan to make a yearly visit! The RV spots were nice and spacious with full hookups. We enjoyed watching the deer from our lawn chairs during the morning time. The kids had a blast with the pickleball court, pool table, and ping pong table. The river access was incredible and the bath house was one of the cleanest I have ever seen. The owners couldn't be more friendly and hospitable and the live music on Saturday night was the perfect ending to our trip! We can't wait to go back!

Such an amazingly lovely RV park and absolutely the best southern hospitality you’ll ever experience. We were there for the 2024 solar eclipse and the place was superbly clean even though it was at its max capacity. They offer tube rentals for cheap, great laundry facilities and showers and also have cabins to rent (we stayed in our RV). Large spots with grass at each, picnic table and all within a short walk to the river. We could not hear the river from our RV bc we were not “river side” and the river was low but it didn’t lessen our enjoyment. Super friendly guests and staff. The river is not “frio” at all! We have stayed at West Frio for two Thanksgiving’s now and have greatly enjoyed our stay. The park is so well maintained and the RV sites are nicely spaced. We enjoyed all of the wildlife and easy access to the water. Highly recommend!

We had our first stay at the West Frio River Ranch in mid August 2023. I have no doubt we will be back again before long. Located just south of Leakey, Texas on the West Bank of the Rio Frio, West Frio River Ranch offered a very nice 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom cabin with a full kitchen, a back porch, and dedicated parking. Our cabin was clean and everything was in good working order. The grounds include ample access to the Rio Frio which, despite a record hot and dry summer, had more than enough, surprisingly cool, water to allow a satisfying dip in the shade of enormous trees growing along the riverbank. Shops and restaurants are just a five minute drive away in Leakey, Texas. The manager, Rebecca, was very friendly, and helpful. As I said, “We’ll be back!”

Just got our camper last week and stumbled across West Frio River Ranch for our first RV trip. Everyone was so kind and helpful and the property was so clean and well kept. A little slice of heaven for sure. We will be back!
