I’ve visited this places for a night or two the last 3 years. Only 15 mins from park entrance, river is nice for swimming or floating along the beach. Usually a little busy but people are friendly. Portable Toilets are super nice.

Lots of camping room for everyone and all types of vehicles. Recommend AWD or 4x4. Entrance on the West side of the bridge. 3 sets of porty potties further from the entrance spread out 200 feet apart. There is 5G cell service on Blankenship Rd.

Stayed here a couple of nights and explored the surrounding areas. You can park on the beach or find spots that are more secluded. However, you won't ever be far from other people either way. Beautiful scenery and clean water.

This place was a complete lifesaver. My two daughters and myself traveled here to see Glacier National Park on an epic summer road trip. When we arrived at Glacier, all the campgrounds were closed down due to Covid except for one. It was a lottery each morning to get a spot inside the park. We were so stressed driving around with out little pop up tent trailer trying to find a spot. The woman at the RV park told us to download iOverlander app. That is when we found this sneaky little free campground. I was only a few minutes up the road from the park and we were able to set up camp on the shoreline and camp for a few nights for free. We were lined up along the beach with a bunch of other hippie campers and it was an incredible experience. I would've given it 5 stars except there were a f

We stayed here for two nights on 29 and 30 July. It was busy tourist season so we understood that this site was very crowded. We managed to find a site to camp on 29 July, left our tent, chairs, sleeping bags, water bucket and sleeping clothes at the site in the daytime of the 30th. We went to Glacier NP for that day. When we got back around 7pm, we were surprised to see another van at our site where all of our stuffs, tent, chairs, everything disappeared. They were all stolen! My husband was so shocked since in his whole life, he never experienced something like this. Since it's a free camping site so we don't know where we should report it, at least to help others not falling into the same situation like us. Someone basically stole our home while we on our trip!
