Smoky Bear Ranch

This was Our 2nd time staying at Smoky Bear Ranch, and we loved it every bit as much as the first time 6 years ago. Scott and Nancy have had this B&B for 30 years, and it is very well maintained with lots of upgrades. They serve a full course delicious breakfast every morning which includes fresh ingredients from their garden. They take pride in making it a beautiful, cozy place to stay. They are very knowledgable about the area and even provided a trail book, map, and bear spray to use during our stay. It's close to the west entrance of Glacier National Park and convenient to restaurants in Columbia Falls. I recommend it to everyone I know visiting the area.

Room was cozy and the property is very pretty. The breakfast is very early at 8am so be prepared for that.. but it is very delicious and home made everything. The man was nice but his wife was rude both mornings and seemed very bothered by our presence and told us they were trying to leave to be on the road for 10 hours of driving, basically telling us to leave even though checkout wasn't until 11 after we pay 200 dollars a night to stay there. Besides that it was a comfortable and nice place to stay with a good location.

The Smoky Bear Ranch was the highlight of our trip filled with highlights. The Ranch itself is spectacular, abutting a river and filled with wildlife, as well as Nancy’s expansive garden the ranch is incredible. Its proximity to Glacier is also unbeatable. Perhaps the best part of this incredible place are Scott & Nancy themselves. Their knowledge of western Montana, the surrounding area and Glacier itself is an invaluable asset that will greatly improve any stay in the area. My siblings and I could not imagine a better place to stay than the Smoky Bear Ranch!

We had the absolute best time at Smoky Bear Ranch. The cabins were stunning and gorgeous and the views even better. A cozy, relaxing experience after a long day of hiking. Yet, arguably the best part were the folks who ran it. They were so kind, helped us plan our days, and shared incredible recommendations of Glacier park adventures that perfectly tailored our needs. Highly recommend!
