Wayfarer Hotel & Events

The Georgia suite is more like an apartment and I just loved everything about it. The original wood floors are so beautiful and the owner has been careful to maintain historic details. The only thing I didn't love is the 26 stairs to get up to the rooms but I need the exercise so they forced me into it. Perfect downtown location but parking is a DEFINITE challenge, there is not a designated area for hotel guests so it's a battle with every other downtown visitor.

My wife and I booked the Walton Suite to stay the night before and night of our wedding held in the Wayfarer Music Hall. The room was so tidy with lots of space for getting ready. The Walton is particular a good room because it has a door that leads right into the community kitchenette where there’s a full size fridge, sink, and microwave. This was really helpful when filling vases for bouquets. The living room had excellent lighting for photos and provided a good amount of space for gift exchanges and hanging out. There was plenty of extra bedding (there’s a pullout sofa bed), good airflow thanks to ceiling fans, and a very helpful full length mirror. 10 out of 10. Amazing little place to stay in Monroe. The communication and directions were spot on. The Walton suite is charming, spacious and so clean. The water pressure in the shower is amazing too, which is usually lacking at a lot of hotels. Will definitely be back!

I’ve probably stayed in 100 hotels in this makes the top 10 list. I had the W room. It was spacious, yet cozy. It was old but clean & had all the modern needs. Location was quaint. I could walk to everything I needed. I could see how it would be noisy for some, but I use a white noise app. I slept like a baby. It was a real treat and I appreciate all the extra treats like living plants, coffee, variety in my room and soft toilet paper!

Great experience at the Wayfarer this past weekend. The room was spacious, clean, and well decorated. We felt safe and comfortable and we plan to return again soon!!
