Water's Edge Inn

We had a great stay at the Water's Edge Inn! The indoor pool was quite warm and enjoyable. Having a dry sauna was also a nice amenity. Our kids enjoyed using the arcade room- we even got to see some wildlife deer up close and personal through the french doors in there. The continental breakfast was also good, the french waffle station was our favorite. The staff were all friendly and professional. Our room could have used a bit of maintenance... fresh coat of paint and cleaning of the balcony area. But overall great experience! We would recommend Water's Edge Inn to our family and friends!

The hotel exceeded our expectations! We were not sure what to expect being it was not a name brand hotel. We were very happy with our stay. The staff was fabulous, the room was nice, the beds comfortable, and the water pressure in the shower was great! The view from our balcony was lovely. The location was amazing! Easy to walk to water safari and calypso cove. Restaurants in town were great and also cute shops to buy things to take home. We greatly enjoyed our stay!

Couldn’t even get a drink of water first thing in the morning because there were no cups in site. The price you pay to stay here you think coffee would be ready before 8 a.m. or at least have guest services before then. I would definitely recommend staying somewhere else if you’re a person who likes coffee when they wake up and not half way through the morning. Or if your someone who likes good accommodations for almost 200 a night definitely look some place else. I come to old forge multiple times a year and this is the worst experience and I’ve stayed at some pretty tore down places compared to the ratings of this one. And let me add THERE WAS NO NIGHT MANAGER AROUND.

Last time I was here I would’ve given it 5 stars. The last time I was here the pool was warm enough to swim and relax in the water. This time the water was cold. I called the front desk and they said there’s nothing they can do when I asked them if they can turn up the pool heater.

We were there to celebrate our daughter’s 17th birthday, the hotel room we were able to upgrade to the lakeside, private balcony, larger room. Breakfast was amazing. Hotel staff were so kind and friendly. Definitely will come back again!
