The Blue Spruce Motel

Was recommended to stay here from family who stayed here in the past. Highly recommend. Room was very clean,quite and property well lit at night. Staff was very friendly and told me to let them know if I needed anything. Will stay there again!

My family and I stayed there July 18-22nd, 2025 and booked 4 rooms. The rooms were clean, the beds very comfortable with I think 4 pillows per bed. It is located in a great spot close to everything the area has to offer. There is a pool and a firepit along with 2 more fire pits on the courtyard side of the property. I can not say enough about the 2 gentlemen who were there every day cleaning and running the office. 110% polite, pleasant and just the type of staff you would want to see on a daily basis. Kudos to Blue Spruce for finding these 2 great workers!!

Our group stayed in two rooms (Room 8 and Room 10), and unfortunately, both were in very poor condition. While the staff were kind and accommodating, the state of the accommodations was unacceptable and well below basic standards of cleanliness and upkeep.||Room 8:| • Comforter appeared to have grease stains on it — we didn’t use it and resorted to beach towels as blankets.| • Room had a strong musty odor; we had to purchase air fresheners to tolerate the smell.| • Refrigerator also smelled musty. | • Bathroom sink was dirty, and the toilet and tub were questionable in terms of cleanliness. The toilet handle broke off but was quickly repaired.| • Corners had visible dirt and cobwebs with spiders in the corners. | • Boot tray was filthy, with dog food in and around it — we did not have a pe

We went to The Blue Spruce Motel to observe the Solar Eclipse. It was a quiet area with many places within walking distance. The room was clean and comfortable. The owners were very nice and helpful. They even provided eclipse glasses when we arrived for free

We stayed at the Blue Spruce hotel in July 2024. Fonz checked us in, and he was a delightful source of info, hospitality and genuine interest. We stayed in room 12, which was delightfully rustic, cozy, with very comfortable beds and a nice hot shower. This is a small motel in Old Forge, close to main attractions, restaurants and a great home base for a weekend stay. We have stayed at most of the motels and hotels in Old Forge, and this was our first stay at Blue Spruce. We will be back! Thank you, Fonz!
