Walker Hotel Greenwich Village

Positive: Love that they have live music in the lobby at night. Breakfasts very good. Negative: The hidden taxes and fees that were added at the end was just annoying. Also, we were told that we had a $25 a day breakfast credit. We were given the credit only once.

this was our first stay at the Walker Hotel in Greenwich Village. The room was a nice size and had everything we needed to be comfortable for 6 nights. Very comfortable bed, chairs to sit in and writing desk, minibar with 1/2 bottles of wine, small closet and safe. writing desk, lots of outlets and very clean. Two elevators. Generally the rooms were quiet but we could hear people talking in one of the rooms either next to us or upstairs. Lobby is very nice for sitting and relaxing and listening to music. Coffee in the morning at front desk and hot cider throughout the day. Staff were excellent, restaurant /bar was open and was very good with very nice and interesting and caring employees. Really great hotel in Greenwich village! We were able to check in easily and talk to the staff with any questions. The room was a cozy fit for two! We did hope to have to have a little bit more room for our things but the view and the giant bathroom (huge bathtub) were great! There was jazz one of the evenings and sitting in the lobby near the fire place was a highlight of the stay. Great location as you can walk to union square and catch any train to get around the city but still far away from the crowds. We will definitely be back on our next visit!

We absolutely loved our stay at the Walker Hotel. The staff were friendly and upgraded our room to a king with a lovely view. We were offered hot cider when we arrived, given a hotel credit to use in both the restaurant and mini bar and were delighted when we discovered a lounge singer and piano player performing in the lobby by the warm fireplace. The room was comfortable and clean with nice amenities. Out breakfast was very tasty and the service was top notch. It was also located in a great part of the city - very walkable to restaurants and shops.

The Walker is a hidden gem! Though I’ve walked by a million times and have had work colleagues at Adobe remark about how nice it is, I never had the opportunity to stay there.||This week I booked a room for an overnight and it was a luxury experience from the start. When I checked in, the superb Director of Front Office, Jonathan Quezada, offered me a room upgrade.||The room was so nice I cut my dinner plans short to spend more time at The Walker! A balcony, an Empire State Building view and a soaking tub, coupled with a fluffy robe and C.O. Bigelow toiletries. ||In addition, the room was impeccably clean and quiet. And, extra touches like the cozy fireplace in the lobby, coffee in the morning, Via Carota cocktails in the mini bar and a fluffy, comfy bed with good sheets. 5 stars!
