Kimpton Era Midtown New York

My recent stay at Kimpton Era was nothing short of exceptional—and that’s coming from someone who has been a loyal member of the IHG Hotels & Resorts family for quite some time. From the moment you walk in, the hotel strikes a rare balance between modern sophistication and inviting charm. The décor is simply stunning—thoughtfully curated, stylish without feeling cold, and full of personality. The rooms are beyond comfortable. It’s clear that comfort wasn’t an afterthought here; it’s a priority. Dining is another standout. With two distinct options on-site and of course social hour from 5-6pm is well received. We’ve just completed a 4-night stay at this newly opened hotel and had a great time. Everyone we encountered was lovely and helpful, although we’d like to extend a special thank you to Maalik for his kindness regarding our room selection and check in. We appreciated his attentiveness and professionalism which ensured we had a great stay. The hotel is in a good midtown location and we liked the social hour and breakfast pastries and coffee in the morning. The facilities are modern and stylish. The only room for improvement would be around housekeeping - we had some minor issues throughout our stay, but I’m sure that’s to do with the hotel being so new and will be rectified. Thank you Kimpton Era, we will be back.

Brand new hotel across the street from Rockefeller Center. Service is exceptional- everyone from the doormen to the people at the reception desk were warm, welcoming, and extremely helpful. My room with a king sized bed was tight - but everything was laid out well. Location is very central - walkable to many tourist spots and next to a subway station. At night, I was surprised at how quiet it was in my room. I’ve stayed in many hotels in NYC and you can usually hear all the street noise (cars honking, emergency vehicles). Shower pressure was nice. There are water bottle filling stations everywhere. I didn’t try any of their restaurants, but they do have food options within the hotel. Couldn’t speak more highly of this hotel! Friendliest and nicest staff we have ever experienced in New York having stayed multiple times!! Big shoutout to Raul who really made us feel welcome as he found us at check-in and showed us around. The free drinks in the fridge were a lovely touch and so were the wire holders each time the cleaners visited. 10/10 from us and a 10/10 location to go along with it. We will 100% be returning thank you for a wonderful stay 😊😊
