Vista Del Lago Resort

I stayed one night in Feb 2025 & the room was super filthy , there was mold in the shower the one towel was stained , no hand towel or wash cloth, no shampoo, just tiny bar of soap , toilet paper kept falling off the holder as it was broken . There was a bed in my kitchen , the dishes were dirty . I had to sweep and mop the room and bathroom and dirt still got stuck to my feet when I got out of the shower , also barely any water pressure or hot water . There were 2 people outside my room all night yelling and fighting and the manager never came out once as if it were normal for people to be out all night screaming. I would tell everyone to pass on by it's horrible and filthy. It's a run down druggie motel. Not clean, not safe, not worth it !!

I almost didn't want to write a review because I want this place to stay a secret. ||||About 22 of my friends (mostly couples) and I rented out Vista del Lago over New Years. We rented the house and all of the cabins for three nights. We live in San Francisco and were looking for somewhere to get away and have a fun New Years. This was the absolute PERFECT spot. It's also dog friendly so I was able to bring my mutt along which was a HUGE plus.||||First of all, Bob was the nicest and most accommodating host. He was there when we showed up, showed us around and even came back on New Years day to fix the hot tub for us. I have nothing but nice things to say about Bob, he's truly the best. I also spoke to his wife and daughter on the phone when booking and before coming and they were wonderful

Great cabins, everything you need to cook, right on the lake, beautiful cabins. Lots of room to spread out. Bob, the owner is thoughtful,is sure to provide you safe, conscientious, clean, and affordable lodging. Nothing but good things to say. If you need lodging in lake county, try Vista del Lago, and forgot about the usual hotels. You'll be glad you did.

The owners are amazing people and very kind and helpful. They are very accommodating and understanding. Cottage’s are nice and roomy and have the fridge and microwave etc.

Awesome place to stay, and you definitely get your money's worth. I rented the hot tub room for $109 a night. Wonderful management team. And very clean and tidy. Only reason I didn't give it a 5, was because of the lake smelling so horrible. If the place was anywhere else I'd have given it a 5+5 rating.
