Vino Bello Resort

Loved it here! We went to an owners update and got two wine passports. Free tastings at ten wineries. The price of those ten tastings would be about $500. You can also buy the passports for $95. Room was great, parking is great during the day, not so great at night. You will find a spot but it probably won't be as close to your room. One of the bars/ bowling alley was hosting a private e vent the couple times we went to check it out. The bar at registration was always open and send good drinks. There is a nice path by the cave/spa behind the resort that goes by some vineyards. There are two pools and hot tubs, four different tasting rooms, a shuttle to downtown Napa. My Disappointments: In the years since we first visited, you can see the wear. Originally it felt luxurious with a darker theme to the rooms, heavy burgundy draperies and well stocked kitchen hardware. They have changed the decor to more of a hotel theme, lighter curtains, bed cover, furniture, etc. and the appliances are showing their age. You get one fry pan (no lid), 2 small sauce pans and 1 pot. Some dull Hinkels knives, and flatware. There are 2 ice makers shared between 3 buildings, and they are tucked away. I know it's a small thing, but the cable does not match any local listings and there is no guide channel. We have been timeshare owners for 30 years. We started exchanging 20 years ago. I honestly think that this property is one of the nicest Wyndham properties we have stayed at. Our 1 br King suite was spacious, clean, and beautiful. Large kitchen, and laundry closet with top line Bosch washer and dryer. There were a couple of minor maintenance problems, and when we reported them they were resolved quickly and efficiently. As for the staff, they were all great. We arrived about 1:40 pm and didn't expect that our room would be ready yet. No problem with Khileem (apologies if I misspelled the name) upon checking in, as he was able to get us checked in immediately. Very friendly and professional also. I’ve been going to vino bello for 11 years. The last couple of years it’s really gone downhill. They put us in a room that was filthy dirty. We had to wait hours after checkin to get it cleaned. They are supposed to clean room every 4 days. Two years in a row they haven’t even though I’ve got 4 rooms for a week. Management doesn’t help or return calls. I called a day before this year to make sure it was cleaned and it wasn’t. We needed towels, to, dish towels etc. you can imagine with all the rooms and people. So very disappointed in the management. We are going to skip next year and hopefully they improve.

Positive: "" Negative: The hotel is a timeshare. Despite paying for the room, we had to visit the timeshare desk to get our parking permit. They tried very hard to book us for a presentation. I was disappointed to deal with this when paying for a 4-star hotel.
