Merlot Cabernet House, an Old World Inn

This beautiful Victorian property has recently been redone in a very elegant fashion. Great hospitality. Wonderful breakfast. A fabulous Napa experience. I highly recommend it.

Amazing B&B. The staff was very welcoming and warm. We showed up before check in to store our luggage but because our room was free they let us check in early! Our room was so cute and the breakfast in the morning was so much fun! I loved gathering around a large table with other guests. Also their coffee is amazing! The location is a ten minute walk to downtown Napa and was perfect for exploring the area. HIGHLY recommend

I stayed here back in August of 2022. I did a road trip from Minnesota to California. I was running on very little sleep and exhausted from my travels. It was my first time in California so my first time experiencing the LA traffic. I was super stressed and emotional. I called last minute and very late (10pm) in need of a place to stay. They got up and opened their doors for me. I ended up getting a flat before pulling in and they were more than accommodating. The next morning they helped me change my flat tire and put on my spare until I could get it fixed. The room was beautiful and they made a delicious breakfast. The place was charming and sweet. The owners kindness and willingness to go above and beyond for me made my trip that much nicer. I'll never forget my first time in California

Amvic is really what made this place so special. My wife and I have never met a host so friendly and welcoming. The room was lovely and clean. The breakfast was also very good.

To be fair, the facility was clean and functional. But my issue is with the value for price. I paid $500 a night to stay in an old, crumbling room. It was what you would find in a 40+ year old construction. Eg. bathroom tub was cracked, the shower valve was barely functioning, the door lock didn’t work, etc. ||This is a Napa problem actually. Just spectacularly expensive- which was expected, honestly- but the value for what you pay is just not there. ||This should have been a <$200 per night experience. Again, no complaints about the host and cleanliness.
