Viking Shores Motor Inn

Great motel right off the bike path. Grounds were well maintained. Seems like the rooms were recently updated- new flooring and furniture. Comfy beds. Bed bug protectors on the pillows were noisy, but would rather have that than those nasty bugs! Travel size shampoo, lotion, and soap available. Great A/C kept our room just right. Tub would benefit from ZEP brand tub and shower cleaner, otherwise the room was clean and tidy. We enjoyed our time here and would stay again.

I was pleasantly surprised by how much I thoroughly enjoyed it here. The rooms are clean and I loved having a small refrigerator and microwave in the room. The grounds were inviting and relaxing. The pool was clean and quiet. The owner was extremely helpful and went out of his way to make my stay the best it could be. I can’t wait to return! I highly recommend! An extra bonus is the arcade and mini golf that are right next door.

Another older motel, this place was clean enough, but was very bare bones with no pictures on the walls and no tissue boxes in the room. High marks for having a strong internet compared to other places we stayed, but that may have been because Viking Shores didn’t seem to have very many guests on any of the nights we were there, so there wasn’t as much strain on the internet. The room did not have any USB ports, and when we arrived, the table in the room was situated in a place where there weren’t any electrical outlets, and we had to do some minor furniture rearranging. This hotel was a good location for visiting Cape Cod National Seashore, and as a site halfway up the cape for staging a day trip to Provincetown. Had my doubts… but after four-day three night stay.. I have to say Viking Shores was a good choice… 1) superb location made Nauset Light and Coast Guard Beach possible.. my wife and I relished the opportunity to spend beach days on these two spectacular beaches… not possible/ very difficult from the mid-cape.. also— Bay side Eastham beaches just minutes away.. they provide variety— and fabulous sunsets 2) Outer Cape but convenience stores and restaurants nearby.. breakfast places in Wellfleet — Stop N Shop in Orleans.. if we needed something we got it… 3) room was clean and most importantly quiet..— with good strong shower.. super firm king mattress on bed was a tremendous surprise that made sleeping much better. TV was excellent but cable didn’t have NESN so I couldn’t watch the Red Sox

This is a long-time Cape motel that's under new management and recently renovated. My partner and I very much enjoyed our stay. The location is excellent, 5-10 minutes to most of Wellfleet, 10-15 minutes to anything in Orleans. Check-in and -out were both easy. The rooms were clean and tidy (though a little bit spartan). There is good wi-fi that would likely be sufficient to work remotely on for a couple of days. There's a small pool and a playset, so this strikes me as a great place for families to stay for a long weekend. The only real area of concern I had was for the doors, which don't appear to have been professionally fitted. The bathroom door was difficult to pull closed (and loud when we did).
