We visited during the off-season. When we arrived, Joey was at the check in and was able to give us a complementary upgrade on our room based on availability. He was helpful and gave us the necessary information to enjoy our stay. Room 7 was very spacious with 2 beds and 1.5 baths and a small porch. Temperature in the room was unpredictable. I attempted to adjust the thermostat but the room temperature did not reflect the setting on the thermostat. We set the thermostat to 65, but the temperature went up to 72 and did not go down. We opened the porch door to cool the room. After closing the porch door, we turned on the heat pump AC set to 66 overnight and the temperature in the room still stayed at 71. I also noticed a couple of small details: patched ceiling in the bathroom from previous

The owner was hard to reach and when I called to check in early, the phone carrier said the number was no longer in service. When we got there, we finally found one person and he told us it was an old number and to call another number. A guest working remotely in the dining area told us the place was nicer last year. When we were looking around there was a sign on the large giant refrigerator in the kitchen that it was broken. The room we went to was in the old part of the house and smelled musty. The "garden view" noted on the website was barely visible from a corner of the window in the bathroom. No refrigerator in the room. The bed was very high up and so were the stairs to the bathroom. We asked for a new room and left to go see some friends. I finally got a text from Joey who offere

We stayed two nights. The property was quaint. Clean. Did not see a single sole who worked there during our entire stay. We stayed in rooms 4 and 5. The heat was unbearable and thermostat did not work. Could not shut off heat. It was 84 and hotter in our rooms. It was warm outside so first night opening window didn’t help. Second night was cooler outside so with window open all day we were able to get it to 76 inside in room 4 and 74 at best in room 5. Our friends were also there in a different room and had the same problem. They are dog friendly but some guests didn’t seem to pick up after their large dogs so watch where you step. They offered coffee and tea but no water.

We stayed there for two nights, it was really nice location and awesome common area! The living room, kitchen and coffee bar were all well-organized. The room is small, just enough space for us to put things. I think it keeps the original things of this house, small doors and low ceilings on the second floor and old pink bathroom. It was nice to experience old house!

My wife and I stayed here the second week of August. We loved it. This place is, in a word, delightful. It's well located, well appointed and comfortable. It's a short commute by car to Cook's Brook Beach and First Encounter Beach, my two favorite Cape Cod beaches. The common areas of this facility are imaginatively decorated with interesting art. There is a room set aside as a bar/lounge that opens onto the spacious and well-furnished backyard patio. There's a communal vibe. All guests have access to a shared kitchen that provides cooking vessels and utensils. We all put our beer, soft drinks, etc. in a communal 'fridge. No one poaches. The rooms are well appointed and the beds are quite comfortable. It is the nature of these review sites that they often attract the perpetually angry
