There's so much I want to say about this place, between the ambiance, the location, the history, and the general vibe. What I can tell you from staying here is this: the room is similar to renting a one-bedroom studio in a dense Urban city, with people yelling all around outside. The elevator is a two-person, caged, locked door experience. It's equal parts, nostalgic and terrifying. There is heat in the room, but be warned, it gets hot. The windows do open, but there are no screens or bars on them. If you happen to catch a random seagull that wants to fly by and take the food off of your table next to the window, you'll know where it went. A Truly Magical Full-Circle Experience!! I lived in this building from 1996-1999, during some of the most formative and magical years of my life. Nearly 30 years later, I returned to visit, hoping that I would get a chance to return to that same unit for my overnight return stay. I shared my history with the team here, mentioning that I once lived in a very specific unit. While nothing was promised, the staff went above and beyond to make it possible for me to stay in that exact room!!! What they did for me was incredibly thoughtful, meaningful, and deeply appreciated! This building holds such a special energy, then and now. My stay here was nice, and it's close to the beach, so it's perfect for grabbing some breakfast, walking the boardwalk, and going for a morning stroll! When I checked out of my hotel (I live about 4.5 hours away) I accidentally left my necklace (sentimental item) at the hotel. They were kind enough to ship it back to me, and were responsive through email and phone throughout the whole process. 10/10 recommend.

Highly recommend this place! Stayed here for 2 nights and it has been an excellent experience. The people that care for this property and manage the front desk have been kind, helpful, and accommodating. Even when we needed a tool to check something on our vehicle they took the time to assist. The elevator is an old Otis with a gate. Works perfectly and like the rest of the building has been lovingly restored and maintained. Will definitely be back ♥️
