Inn at Venice Beach

I cannot recommend them enough. I had an Airbnb crisis in the neighborhood and popped in to see if they had a room in case things fell through. Luisa, the woman at the front desk, was so friendly and welcoming. She not only confirmed that yes, they did, but she offered to hold my bags while I went to get dinner and sort everything out. This act of kindness was unnecessary and so impactful. She continued to be compassionate throughout the evening and when I finally booked a room, she upgraded me to a gorgeous suite (highly recommended). We stayed here for 2 nights and found it to be in a good location, just a short walk from Venice Beach, which was really convenient. The room itself was a good size, clean, and had a comfy bed. The view from the window was okay, you could almost see the sea, nothing special but fine for a short stay.|To get to our room, we went up one floor, along a normal hotel corridor, and then through a lovely outdoor courtyard which added a nice touch to the property.|Parking was quite expensive at $30 per day ($90 for 2 nights), which felt a bit steep. Amazing location. Amazing service. The room was large, clean, and styled very well. The common areas were also beautifully decorated. The service was second to none, with staff going above and beyond to accommodate our family anyway they could. I would 100% recommend and stay here anytime we're visiting from Australia.

The hotel is decent overall. The property is small, the rooms are clean and spacious, and it’s in a very good location. Venice Beach and the canals are just a few blocks away within walking distance. What I found to be an abuse on the hotel’s part is that at no point does anyone inform you that you are required to leave a $100 deposit at check-in, which is refunded upon check-out. If you don’t have that extra money, unfortunately you won’t be able to stay at the property. Speaking of unexpected charges, no one mentions that parking is not included, even for guests staying at the hotel, and it costs $38 per night, not per stay, but per night. The location was great, the parking was great, the rooms were very clean. My only issue was customer service. I am a teacher and it's rare that I get to spend any weekend out. It was my first time visiting the area. I kept asking the girl at the desk for directions as to where things were located within the hotel and she kept giving me attitude and confused faces as if I should've already known. She wasn't very kind when we were checking in also. They charged us extra for parking, when the website that I booked it through said it was about $15 cheaper. They didn't acknowledge the website listed price. The location was nice and great to be close to the boardwalk, however, the customer service rude and hospitality horrible. It sort of ruins and exciting experience.
