Very friendly and attentive staff. I arrived before check-in time and was able to move into my room. The furnishings, style, and comfort were really great. Super clean and cozy. Bike rental was also excellent to enjoy Venice Beach to Santa Monica Pier by bike. The hotel is in a great location, very close to the canals and Abbot Kinney Boulevard. There are lots of lovely shops and restaurants here.

Kinney still feels like a dressed up concrete block, but has an awesome location close to the heart of Venice. Although it's not one of the spots right on the beach, those hotels are really resting on their laurels and don't operate correctly. Kinney staff are professional and actually do their jobs, you get less "crazies" and it is extremely clean especially for Venice standards. My only complaint is that the hours of the gym seem arbitrary when it could be open 24/7. Because I only stayed for one night and checked in late, I wasn't able to get a workout in.

From the moment I arrived at The Kinney, I knew this wasn’t going to feel like just another hotel check-in. The front desk gentleman was incredibly friendly and genuinely caring—you could feel that his warmth wasn’t scripted. It immediately set the tone for the entire stay and reflected the authentic, thoughtful culture The Kinney has clearly put into hiring their team. That same intention is woven throughout the hotel’s design. The spaces feel curated with heart—from hammocks perfect for unwinding, to sleek marble ping pong tables that add a playful, communal vibe. There’s even a cozy, family-friendly area centered around a fireplace, which becomes especially magical when the temperature drops at night. It feels like a place designed not just to stay, but to be. The room itself was pure

We stayed at The Kinney for 10 days and it was one of the best hotel experience we’d had. ||||It’s about a 15 minute straight walk to a quieter part of Venice Beach, ideal for swimming in the sea, 25 minutes from the main Venice Beach attractions and about an hour from Santa Monica if you walk along the front. There are some great restaurants around the hotel including PHO MdR for noodle soup and Vietnamese, Killer Shrimp in Marina Del Rey for seafood and a C&O Restaurant for Italian. In and Out, McDonalds, iHop and Chick Fil A are no more than a 20 min walk to each. It’s around a 40-50 minute Uber to Hollywood and Universal Studios. ||||The hotel itself is very nice, cleanliness is 10/10. The rooms are a very good size, even the Bathroom and it was a very comfortable bed. The colleagues a

Update: 1st night was great as listed below. 2nd night was loud till wee hours. And wifi never did work. About a 20 minute walk to Venice Beach/Pier along a wide Avenue with good sidewalks. Liquor Store next door has bottles of water that are much better priced than ones provided in the room. GREAT taco shop around the corner just past the liquor store!! I was worried about having a room right next to pool and an outdoor bar area but it was silent and wonderfully dark for sleeping from 7p on. The room itself was comfortable. Clean. Good shower and generous sized bath towels. Small mini fridge if you need it. Only downside is the platform bedframe. I cracked my shin on it 3x, broke the skin. Finally covered it with a pillow (narrow walkway past TV). Got quite a goose egg, though. Otherw
