Vagabond Inn Bakersfield North

On February 25, I booked a one-night stay at this hotel. Upon entering the room, I immediately noticed that it was not clean. The bedding appeared unwashed, and the room was infested with roaches, which made the conditions unacceptable. Because of this, I did not stay at the property. I returned the room keys within 10 minutes of entering the room and immediately requested a refund. However, my request was denied. Since then, I have contacted the property multiple times in an attempt to speak with the manager. Each time I call, I am told that the manager will return my call, but I have yet to receive any follow-up. I continue to be given the runaround whenever I try to address this issue. Additionally, the staff I have spoken with have been unprofessional and have communicated in a rude

For the price this is great. I liked the lady in the front. I accidently booked an accessible room and she fixed it. The room is clean just a little old but thats ok. It did the job

Not a 5 star hotel but is a pretty decent hotel for a cheap price

Positive: The staff have done the best they can with what they have. Suggest the owner stay a couple of nights to experience what he is providing. Negative: Towels had been laundered but were still deeply stained. Ditto the sheets. Furniture old and in need of replacement. A strange odour lingered in the room. The local community who are 'living it rough' used the car park as their meeting/sleeping place.

The price is good but that's it. Outdated for sure, rusty metal. I would be worried eating their free breakfast. If you like stained sheets with holes, dirty everything and I mean everything! Spilled food like ketchup, the furniture sticky from filth, holes in the floor, dirty toilet, sink, floors, bath, every dresser and chair, cockroaches everywhere, then this place is for you.
