The V's a modest and comfortable hotel with an authentic mid-century vibe. It's a short drive to downtown Palm Springs. The two 2 pools are great. They're warm and big enough for light lap swimming. Both have a hot tub next to them too. The restaurant Gigi's is next door where they have breakfast, lunch, dinner, and cocktails. The patio's very pleasant. It has a view of the mountains to the west of Palm Springs and one of the hotel pools. My room was a little small but I loved the large remodelled bathroom and shower. It was also nice to have a room with a balcony.
I did not have a good experience at this hotel. First, I had booked two rooms almost 1 month in advance and I requested for the rooms to be right next to each other which they assured they were. When I get there they tell me that they are not next to each other in fact they were a whole building apart. Second, the rooms were not the cleanest. There was a chair that was really dirty. There was also stains on the sheets. And lastly, we got to the hotel after dinner around 10pm and I asked the guys at the front desk if they can turn on the fireplace which they close at 12am. They said the propane ran out of gas and they couldn’t turn it on. It was just a bad experience. I will definitely not be coming back.
I had a fantastic stay. Not quite understanding all the bad reviews. My rate was only about $125 a night and I stayed for 7 days. I thought great value for money. Now if you paid $200+ maybe I would feel the cost vs accommodations is not in line. Here are my thoughts:| |PRO's: Comfy beds, clean rooms, large bathrooms, comp Evian (2) water each day, helpful front desk - offered to print documents out for me as no business center. Easy parking if you have a lot of luggage. Note: No elevator so request 1st floor if you have a lot of bags. Keyless system - love this. Never have to worry about key and many times getting demagnetized. Great views of mountains from pool. Jacuzzi is perfect temperature and huge. Kids pool and Adult pool A+++||CON's: Music can be annoying at p
This was our first time staying at V after friends of ours had told us about it. Fantastic location in Palm Springs. The room was nice, the bed was comfortable and the pool area is very nice. One pool area is exclusively for adults which is nice. The hotel is very quaint and quiet which makes it a wonderful place to return to after your day or night in beautiful Palm Springs
The rooms were clean with a nice decor. Loved the hanging chair on the private porch, a great way to relax and unwind. The bed was comfy and cozy and loved the view of the pool from our room. Dinner and breakfast was very good at the hotel restaurant, Gigi, with friendly service and just right portions to fill the belly. I only stayed one night but will definitely stay again for a longer visit.
