La Maison Hotel

A new favorite home away from home in the desert! Hidden away from the hustle and bustle of central Palm Springs and Highway 111 behind a high wall, the rooms at La Maison are charming - full of antique furniture, yet with all mod cons (including a fridge and carafe of brandy in our room!). The rooms open to the courtyard, where a buffet breakfast is served, as is “wine and cheese hour” in the late afternoon, all while admiring the hummingbirds and flowers. What an oasis… Both our hosts, Blanca and Sotera, are welcoming and helpful - from preparing the breakfast buffet in the early morning and manning the cappuccino machine, through restocking iced water and pool towels during the day, to providing wine, cheeses, grapes and nuts, they are always smiling and busy. Wonderful hotel! So pretty inside, felt very mediterranean, like I was in Europe. The rooms were nice and clean and very high quality. The pool was perfect and relaxing. Felt like a little oasis. The breakfast was great so many options. The service was wonderful, the main attendant lady was the sweetest. High recommend, I will be coming back.

Wonderful cozy place to stay for short get away in Palm Springs. The rooms while on the small side are still comfortable, clean and the beds are very comfortable. It’s quiet but close to all of the shops/restaurants so you don’t have to deal with the crowds at night. Continental breakfast offered plenty of choices. Breads with lots of accoutrements, yogurt, cereal, fruit, hard boiled eggs. You also have the option of brewed coffee, specialty coffees (latte, cappuccino ,etc), tea and hot chocolate. Blanca who I believe is the manager on site is delightful! Super friendly, helpful and you can tell she loves the property. She’s been there for 30 years! There are a few hummingbirds who also call La Masion “home” and who Blanca has trained to come and sit in her hand! Amazing!

The La Maison Hotel in Palm Springs is a must stay on your next visit! It’s like being in Europe! The hostess/manager, Blanca, is amazing! We were warmly greeted the moment we stepped into the courtyard! The rooms are comfy, clean and cozy! Happy hour daily as well as breakfast! A beautiful courtyard/garden with a heated pool as well as gas fireplace and fire pit! And the most amazing thing: Blanca has basically trained some hummingbirds to eat right out of your hand!

Some head to Palm Springs to golf, some to party like there's no tomorrow. We were looking for warmth, peace, quiet, and a pool, and La Maison delivered on that perfectly. It's a charming oasis tucked into a residential neighborhood and managed by a charming host, who served a lovely light breakfast and happy hour wine bar every afternoon. And yes, it was a quick Uber ride to the Art Museum, Botanical Gardens, and downtown dining. If a quiet getaway from the kiddies and the rowdies is in order, this is the place.
